This project involved the full installation and commissioning of a Philips Hue RGBW lighting system for a cocktail bar in Soho.
We installed Hue lighting throughout the bar, seating area and DJ space, ensuring reliable coverage and consistent performance across the entire space. The system was configured to allow smooth dimming, colour control and scene recall, with a focus on stability and ease of use for day-to-day operation.
A range of custom lighting scenes was created to suit different times of day and service styles — from brighter, warmer scenes during setup and early service, through to richer, more atmospheric scenes for the evening. Using RGBW lighting allowed us to achieve strong colour effects while retaining good-quality white light where needed.
The system was also set up so the client can easily tweak scenes themselves via the app, adjusting colour balance, brightness or timing without needing specialist input. This gives them flexibility to fine-tune the atmosphere as the venue evolves, without calling an electrician every time.
The result is a robust, flexible lighting installation that delivers atmosphere when needed, while remaining practical, reliable and easy to manage.
